Tony Hayes, DirectorTony started the company in January 1997 after a successful spell as Development Chef for the Pelican Group in the UK from 1992 until December 1996. The Pelican group at the time was the fastest growing restaurant group in the UK, with a new restaurant being added to their portfolio at the rate of one per week. This experience has given Tony a unique insight into the problems that companies face with staff shortages and also in dealing with recruitment agencies. An experience which has benefited Osrec and more importantly our clients, we have had a 95% return customer rate in the past 12 months. Tony is the visionary and the driving force of the company and spends a minimum of 40 minutes on the telephone with every new client before bringing them into the company, often in the middle of the night if they are in Australia. The unique Osrec service includes the "managed migration recruitment plan" system, which is devised only after we have had the chance to talk to the client properly and inform them of the choices that they have. There is often a misconception that immigration is a maze that is difficult to get through, but with our "Easy Visa" formula and the initial telephone conversation that we have with every client, takes all the doubts away. Giving customers the choice of video skills assessment or the recruitment trip leaves very little room for error in candidate selection. However noone will get through to the video skills assessment or the interview stage (when clients visit) until they have been properly pre-screened by traditional methods. We get to see every single applicant and do face to face interviews, whether it is in South America, Asia or Eastern Europe and this is what truly makes us stand out from the crowd.
We won't stop there though. I am always looking for new ways to improve the services that we provide, and I am hopeful over the coming months that one or two new typically 'unique Osrec concepts' will be born and introduced to our clients as 'another reason' why we should be first choice, the first company they speak to when thinking of recruiting from overseas.
The team has grown stronger, and by introducing our strap line "we don't do disappointment" I have given them a focussed target to aim for every single time. Nothing less will be acceptable and their confidence has visibly grown too with the success and high customer return rate that we have.

Tony is from Scotland, and is now permanently based in Riga, Latvia in the heart of Eastern Europe. The head office has 6 full-time staff and 2 part-time students. There are also many recruitment assistants worldwide who are used to help Osrec set up seminars, recruitment trips, skills testing centers and more.
