Our client are a leading Healthcare provider based in Doha, Qatar.
They are now seeking a Senior Pharmacist for a full-time position based in Qatar.
In this role you will oversee other pharmacists in providing distribution, technical services and clinical services associated with the preparations, storage and dispensing of pharmaceuticals
Principal Accountabilities:
1-Ensures that policies and procedures are followed to meet JCI standards.
2-Ensures that drugs supplies are stocked in the dispensing area as required and stored properly.
3-Provides drug information to physicians, nurses, pharmacists and trainees the new staff in assigned areas.
4-Provides in-service education to pharmacists, pharmacy interns, residents and nurses.
5-Ensures reporting and documentation of medication errors.
6-Checks for accuracy of doses prepared and in the work supportive personnel.
7-Reviews unit dose, TPN, IV admixtures, and oncology medication orders.
8-Ensures that records for administered narcotics and controlled drugs are kept correctly.
9-Communicates with nurses and physicians concerning medication administration problems.
10-Covers 24 hours on call duties, evening and night shifts, weekends and holidays 24 hours shifts.
11-Performs other duties as requested.
To apply for the role you will be a Qualified Pharmacist with 3 years of full time professional pharmacy experience including a period of structured, rotational training e.g. residency and 1 year of managerial responsibility. Pharmacists will be licensed as a Pharmacist in their country of graduation and should be licensed or be eligible for license in the state of Qatar
