The Municipality provides a range of municipal services to the community and businesses of Al Ain.
The Building and Construction Sector Environment, Health and Safety Department provides support and guidance to the entities who work in the Sector, to enable them to implement an Environment, Health and Safety Management System (EHSMS). This is in accordance with the guidelines of the Competent Authority (Environment Agency of Abu Dhabi – EAD) and the mission and vision of the Municipality.
We are looking to recruit an experienced Environment, Health and Safety Translator to provide the EHS Administration Manager with the translation services required to support delivery of the B&C Sector EHS Department.
Translations in written Arabic and where required oral translation in presentations and meetings as required.
Please note, only Emirati Candidates will be considered for this position.
Responsibilities
• Provide accurately translated technical documents to support the B&C sector
• Develop good professional working relationships at all levels in the municipality, and third parties to ensure an effective provision of the EHS translation support function.
• Communicate effectively both internally and externally to create an open effective organization that delivers against the needs of the municipality.
• Set a personal example to promote a climate for the growth of a positive environment, health and safety conscious culture within Al Ain Municipality and the Field Office Team.
• Good presentation of themselves as this role will encompass visibility to the general public and stakeholders.

Requirements
Qualifications
• Degree qualified in a related discipline
• Professional Qualifications would be advantageous
Technical Competencies
• Proven ability to provide accurate translated technical documents
• Strong communication skills in written and spoken English and Arabic
• Minimum 5 years experience in similar role.
• Must be Computer literate
• Able to work with minimal supervision and with initiative.
